Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were spotless, with plenty of pillows and a well-stocked tea tray after undergoing a good refurbishment. They were large, cozy, and warm, but some areas showed signs of needing a refurbishment as the walls were dated with peeling wallpaper.
The hotel had a strong cigarette smoke odor in the rooms despite none of us smoking, with outdated decor and shabby furnishings. The service was friendly and helpful, with a good variety at breakfast. The location was convenient but a bit scruffy. The dining experience was excellent, and the staff were lovely.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the whole hotel had a lovely atmosphere. However, some rooms were quite worn down and had an overwhelming smell of sour milk or cream. Noise disturbances late at night from other guests affected my stay negatively.
